Re: Last Film You Watched? VI

The Little Drummer Girl Park Chan-wook directed a miniseries in 2018 based on a Le Carre novel, and I had no clue about it. Found about it while exploring Florence Pugh's filmography. Solid solid solid work all around. Editing alone is of the highest order here. The direction and the three leads, es...

This didn't make me feel anything new, but it was definitely a film which moved me. The one take didn't scream for attention.

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

Even if there was detailed groundwork laid before TFA for the entire ST with unified creative vision at helm, it's anyway extremely tricky to tell one story over 3 films of consistent quality. Apart from LOTR, the only other instance I can think of is Bourne trilogy. That being said, TROS suffers h...

Dabangg 3 I haven't seen the first 2 but this one was boring. It started off great and I loved the masala elements but man That flashback scene did not need to be so long Dimple Kapadia is also in this and she is a good comedic actress and her scenes are funny. Why did you put yourself through this...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019)

This was not that bad. But so many like so many crucial moments in the film are not earned. Rather far from it. And that is it's undoing. I enjoyed it because JJ still puts on a show. Can't fault anyone for hating it though.
